Hover King Maiden Flight

We finally finished Hover King in time to do some test and trim flights. She flies nicely off the hi-start with no apparent vices. Floats rather nicely but can really speed up when you put the nose down; a nice surprise since I never flew anything with a GOe 549 airfoil at 13% thickness.

My facial expression is just the tension I am under.

I really have to lose some weight! Bob Galler is in the background readying his hi-start.

That lifting horizontal stab was really no big deal. Who knows how far back I can set the CG? It was 40% this morning but we did tweak the tow hook back about 1/8".
